IT Consulting

Implementing enterprise solutions requires a great deal of understanding of domain, work processes, inter- and intra-enterprise relationship management. For any enterprise-wide solution is likely to affect all of these areas at various touch points.

At Jigme Consultancy Services, we attach most importance to understanding our client's unique needs before designing solutions. Right from organizational and process mapping, we work closely with our clients for assessing the needs. A comprehensive business process reengineering exercise to eliminate redundancies or wasteful practices and streamline the processes then follows this.

Once this is done, we work out the functionality requirements, required technology platform, legacy database porting strategies, and design the solution. Our internal domain specialists along with technology associates develop the solution, extensively test it, and implement it at the clients' location(s).

The IT competence in SME sector is relatively low as compared to large companies due to the lack of full-fledged IT departments. The computerization too, is usually in islands with basically functions such as accounts, payroll and inventory automated. Often, these are standalone applications and almost impossible to integrate into a common architecture.

Faced with these challenges and the budgetary constraints, SMEs need IT consulting support to ensure best value for money. We at JCS have specially geared our services to assist SMEs in leveraging IT for gaining competitiveness while driving out inefficiencies.

Research

In many ways, the research activity is an extension of our consulting work at JCS. We are involved in evaluating new technologies and third-party solutions on a continuous basis. We undertake technology evaluation studies on our client's behalf. Depending upon the need, we look for appropriate third-party solutions and do an extensive testing of functionality, technical competence, system architecture and scalability under simulated conditions. This is followed by recommendation reports.

Our research also focuses on various other IT-related issues including hardware, network design & implementation, Internet-enabled operations, technology and managerial challenges, training issues. In other words, our research team prepares the ground for our consulting assignments injecting the cutting-edge know-how into our work culture.
